From the Alton Telegraph: "City wants limits on controversial merchandise, but store is otherwise ready to open," by Linda N. Weller--
Employees this week carefully placed colorful bottles of warming lubricants, couples’ box games and other merchandise on sparkling, clear glass shelves in the future Johnny Vegas store, which could be ready to open as early as Thursday, its manager says.
"We’re pretty much done, we’re just finishing up the place," said manager Gina Stewart of the building at 1320 East Broadway .
At the same time, an attorney from the city’s insurance carrier continues working with co-owner John Haltom’s attorney -- under auspices of the federal court -- regarding conditions under which the store may open and litigation issues the Lincoln, Neb., man has against Alton.
