Scott Air Force Base, a local fixture for 88 years, will stay in business directing military airlifts worldwide, U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Belleville, said this morning.
Costello provided the good news along with U.S. Rep. John Shimkus, R-Collinsville, during a news conference in the terminal of Mid-America Airport. Scott is across the runways from the airport.
