St. Louis County's proposal to close one side of Highway 40 during construction that starts next year received a lukewarm reception Tuesday as Missouri Department of Transportation officials refused to commit to any plan regarding the 12-mile stretch of roadway.
In a news conference held at the University Club Tower in Richmond Heights, County Executive Charlie A. Dooley unveiled the results of a six-month study on the upcoming project.
